The Old Contemptibles

Joby was a member of the Old Contemptibles - a self-adopted name by the first batch of troops who voluntarily enlisted to the Great War in 1914. The term was given by the German Kaiser, Wilhelm II, who had grow exasperated on hearing how his German forces were being held up in France while en route to Paris.
